At dawn, the sunshine comes streaming through the window next to the door, and the shadow of the window frame cut the floor at the hallway, which is our most familiar space in the house, into pieces. The shadow changes its shape as time passes; it seems to be changing all the time, but it follows the same pattern day after day.
